Mr Michael Kokkinos was born in 1974 and graduated from the 8th High School of Athens. He studied Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), graduating in 1999. He also holds an MSc in Communications and Signal Processing Systems and an MBA (NTUA). He has published several articles in manufacturing and scientific journals.

Mr Michael Kokkinos has over 15 years of professional experience in IT and communications, starting in 2001, as an engineer, product manager and commercial manager in the Greek telecommunications market, in companies such as Space Hellas and others. In 2014 he founded his own technology company, Moptil (Mobile Optical Illusions), which is active in tourism and culture, developing services and apps based on AR, VR and AI. In 2017 he won the third prize in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs in the EU.

He is fluent in English and Spanish, and has working knowledge of French and German.

He is also a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the President of the Hellenic Spanish Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Sectoral Scientific Council of the General Secretariat of Research and Innovation (GGEK) for Tourism, Culture and Creative Industries.

Michael Kokkinos is a volunteer and regular member of Axion Hellas (NGO), a humanitarian organisation very active in Greece.
