Kostas Axarloglou

Kostas Axarloglou is the Dean and Professor of International Business and Strategy at ALBA Graduate Business School.

He serves on the Boards of major Greek companies, while he is also a Board member of the American Economic Association.

He has taught at the University of Michigan, Duke University, Babson College, as the Michael Gerrits Term Assistant Professor, and at the Democritus University of Thrace.

His research interests focus on International Business (Foreign Direct Investments). His research findings have been published in leading scientific journals, such as Management Science, Journal of Business, Journal of the European Economic Association, Eastern Economic Journal, and Managerial and Decision Economics. He has received several research grants and has also presented his research findings in numerous international conferences.

He has extensive teaching experience in all levels of business education in companies such as Carrrefour, PPC, Cosmote, Eurobank, GSK, Janssen Cilag, Interamerican, ING, Larco, Novo Nordisk, Philip Morris, Quest, Tasty, Titan, Vodafone, etc. He is also a recipient of the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship and has received several teaching awards.

He studied Economics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while he holds a Master’s degree and a PhD (1995) from the University of Michigan.
