Through the Pre-Acceleration platform we help business teams in the initial stages of developing their idea, through ad hoc initiatives, networking events and competitions. We support women, the academic community and other vulnerable groups to delve deeper into innovative entrepreneurship and forge links with the real economy.
Female entrepreneurship
What is the Female MAP (Mini Acceleration Programme)
It is the egg’s 2-month 40-hour business acceleration programme, supporting research teams that:
- Are active in various technology and production sectors (Life Sciences, Nano/Agri/Energy Tech, Ed/Deep Tech, ICT etc.).
- Are at any growth stage (ideation phase, pre-seed, seed).
- Have at least 30% female representation in their founding team.
The aim of the Female MAP is to empower women researchers, students and entrepreneurs, with a view to attracting more women to STEAM technologies. It offers mentoring and training on innovative research projects and their possible business growth.
How it supports you
Research teams have access to a specially designed programme that covers basic entrepreneurship concepts and commercial promotion strategies for their innovation, through:
- Online bootcamp training
- Coaching sessions
- Workshops
- Peer-to-Peer meeting sessions etc.
In addition, the teams have the opportunity to participate in a 1-day pitching event, and present their idea to investors (venture capitalists and angel investors), mentors and professionals from various industries in Greece and abroad.

- Is your idea innovative?
- Which university or research centre are you working with?
- Is at least 30% of your team made up of women?
Research entrepreneurship
What is the Researchers MAP (Mini Acceleration Programme)
It is the egg’s 2-month business acceleration programme that promotes entrepreneurship and innovation in universities, research centres and foundations. The programme is addressed to researchers who:
- Have already formed research/business teams.
- Develop ideas relevant to a specific area in the technology and entrepreneurship sector.
Our aim is to support innovation and financial development by empowering the research and academic community with the skills and tools necessary for the business world.
How it supports you
We offer dedicated support to researchers and academics, from the initial development of an idea to the evaluation of its commercial feasibility and entry into the market.
Throughout the programme, the teams:
- Receive guidance from experienced professionals and specialist scientists, who help them deal with challenges and improve their strategies.
- Enhance their skills and knowledge through business workshops and networking events.

Marginalised group entrepreneurship
What is the Marginalised Groups MAP (Mini Acceleration Programme)
It is the egg’s 2-month training programme aimed at promoting equal opportunities in the world of entrepreneurship and at supporting anyone who seeks to grow their ideas and explore their business potential regardless of gender, nationality, social or financial status.
How it supports you
The programme includes:
- Lectures
- Mentoring
- Internships
- Sessions on business topics
- Networking with businesses
- Access to investors
Through these initiatives, the Marginalised Groups MAP offers new growth prospects and creates communities that share the same vision and ambition about innovative entrepreneurship.

How you apply for the Pre-Acceleration platform
- Prepare a short business plan to present your idea and your partners (team members, university, research centre, etc.).
- Submit your application, including your business plan and contact details, by email to info@theegg.gr.
We assess your business plan and, if your team is selected, we notify you by email or over the phone about the programme start date.
