It is the biggest interdisciplinary research centre in Greece, with over 180 researchers and hundreds of scientists working on funded projects. It encompasses 5 independent Institutes covering a broad range of scientific disciplines. It is supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation and supported organisationally by specialised administrative and technological departments, enhancing its contribution to scientific and technological advancement.
