Alex Raftopoulou

Alex Raftopoulou is a founding member and Chief Technology Officer (since 2015) at Munich Re HealthTech, a subsidiary of the Munich Re Group. Since 2015, she has held the position of Chief Technology Officer, from which she outlines the company's product strategy and development.

With over 25 years of experience in technology and software development for health insurance, both in Greece and internationally, she is a highly regarded business executive. She combines extensive experience with a strong sense of responsibility and work ethic.

Throughout her professional career, she has consistently recognised the importance of technology product design, while leading the implementation of major projects in various countries worldwide. She stands out for her high skills in strategic thinking, software product development and leadership in multinational environments.

She studied Physics at the University of Athens and later obtained an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Manchester and an MBA from the University of Bath.

She has an innate drive to learn new things and has a life goal, through her actions, to support and inspire others to grow.

Alex is an enthusiastic tennis player and swimmer. When she is not at Munich Re HealthTech or at a tennis court, she enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures.
