Yiannis Syrros

Yannis Syrros has been Honorary Chairman of the World Innovation and Technology Services Alliance (WITSA) since 2022. The members of the Alliance represent 90% of the global information and communication technology (ICT) market.

He served as General Manager at the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology & Communications Enterprises (SEPE) for more than 20 years. He has also served as Advisor on Information Society issues at the Ministries of Finance and Economy, Health and Welfare, Interior, Public Administration and Decentralisation, and Transport and Communications.

He was a member of the Training Committee for the design of the "Information Society" Operational Programme under the 3rd Community Support Framework (CSF), while at the same time he participated as European Commission expert in the evaluation of proposals under the 5th RTD Framework Programme.

Yannis holds a degree in Computer Engineering, with postgraduate studies in Information Systems and Management at the Universities of East Anglia and Hertfordshire respectively.
