Marios Nicolettis

Marios Nicolettis is co-founder and Managing Partner at Moondust Ventures, based in Prague.

In his current role, he focuses on identifying and developing high-potential startups in the MedTech sector. He has a strong interest in innovation, the implementation of transformational change and providing strategic guidance to companies within the Moondust Ventures portfolio, by building strong partnerships and transferring business expertise to their founders.

He has over 30 years of experience in various countries across West, Central and Eastern Europe. His areas of expertise include transactions in mergers and acquisitions of businesses, deal structuring, finance, risk management and operational transformation.

Prior to founding Moondust Ventures, Marios was an investor and a non-executive board member at Progress Medical AS, an innovative healthcare provider based in the Czech Republic. He successfully exited the company in 2020 through its sale to a buyer listed on the NYSE.

During his professional career he served as COO at PwC Greece, Chief of Staff of the Group CIO/COO at Eurobank, Head of Internal Audit for Eurobank’s subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe. He also held financial roles at KBC Bank’s subsidiary in Czech Republic, PwC Czech Republic and KPMG in London and Madrid, where he managed projects for multinational clients.

He has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics and Accounting from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom and he is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Marios is fluent in Greek, English and Spanish, and knows Czech and Slovak.
