Nikitas Despotidis is Head of BDO Advisory Greece and Head of Technology & Cybersecurity Services.
From 2011 to 2024 he served as Director at Ernst & Young, based in Athens and responsible for SE Europe, while also working for the company's consulting department.
As of 2003 he is also an assistant professor, teaching strategy classes at the International MBA of the University of Strathclyde Business School, Athens annex.
He has worked for more than 20 years in technical, commercial and administrative posts of increasing responsibility in multinationals specialising in technology, IT services and consulting services, such as Group Bull, Digital (DEC), Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Ernst & Young (EY). He was also co-founder and general manager of the Greek subsidiary of the international IT consulting group Quint.
He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), and a full member of the Hellenic Management Association (EEDE) and the Hellenic Institute of Informatics, while he is a founding executive and member of the first Board of Directors of the Greek IT Service Management Forum (itSMF Hellas).
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, an MSc in Automation Systems from Imperial College London and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde Business School in the UK. Nikitas holds professional certifications in Project Management (PRINCE2), IT Service Management (ITIL v3) and Agile and Scrum methodology (Professional Scrum Master-PSM I).
