Pakis Papademetriou

Pakis Papademetriou is the Director of ESG at Pharmathen. He aims to drive the embedding of ESG principles, contributing to the development of the ESG ecosystem and to the continuous improvement of ESG performance.

From 2021 to 2024 he served as Head of ESG at Eurobank. He supported the creation of the ESG community within the organisation and contributed to the continuous improvement of business operations.

Prior to that, he served as Director of Corporate Quality and Sustainability at Athens International Airport (AIA) for 22 years. His career started with engineering positions in the aluminium industry and telecommunications sector.

In 2022, he was appointed Chair of the Hellenic Bank Association (HBA) Coordinating Committee for ESG, Corporate Governance and Green Banking, as well as member of the HBA's Executive Committee.

Since 2016, he has been serving as Chairman of the Corporate Responsibility Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR).

Pakis Papademetriou has been serving sustainable development since 1995. He has long experience in designing and implementing management systems and is dedicated to the integration of sustainability principles in the business environment.

He has received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, both from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Pakis is also certified in Business Sustainability Management by the University of Cambridge (CISL).
