Sébastien Van Kote

Sébastien Van Kote is a strategy and finance consultant for a Greek, climate tech startup aiming to generate electricity using microalgae. He has 4 years of experience in venture capital and private equity. Based in Barcelona, he speaks English, Spanish and French fluently.

Previously, he worked in the equity department of a deep-tech technology transfer organisation based in France. He oversaw 10 equity investments from origination to closing, developing expertise in due diligence, financial modelling and negotiating shareholder agreement terms. As an investor, he participated in various board and general meetings to help his organisation vote on the right decisions and advise portfolio startups in their endeavour.

Sébastien has also worked as an analyst for Plug and Play Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm, and as an intern at Quadia, a Geneva-based impact investment fund, and Innovafonds, a French private equity firm.
