Stavros Pavlidis

Stavros Pavlidis is Head of Direct & Strategic Investments at Deep Capital Group, a single-family office with core holdings in technology, gaming, sports and media, where he leads venture and strategic equity investments. Based in Zurich, he oversees the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and structuring to portfolio governance, targeting transformative opportunities in AI, cybersecurity, blockchain and digital platforms.

With over 25 years of experience across financial services, technology and venture capital, Stavros has held senior executive roles in Europe’s leading investment and fintech institutions. At Halo Investing, he served as Chief Revenue Officer & CFO for Europe, driving the firm’s EMEA expansion and building partnerships with global wealth managers. Earlier, at AMINA Bank and Leonteq, he developed institutional client strategies, scaled structured-product platforms and led cross-border distribution initiatives serving UHNW and institutional investors.

He began his career as an equity-derivatives trader at Commerzbank Securities in Frankfurt and later headed Derivatives Sales at Optima Bank in Athens, before transitioning into leadership roles that bridged finance, data analytics and technology.

Stavros combines capital-markets expertise with a strong entrepreneurial orientation, advising early-stage founders through the Founder Institute in Palo Alto and serving on corporate boards. His focus lies in integrating disciplined investment execution with technological innovation to deliver sustainable growth and long-term value.

He holds a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur degree from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where he specialised in computer science and financial engineering, with a focus on derivatives and neural networks.
