Dr Marie Bountrogianni, ICD.D, is the Dean of The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University. Before becoming a member of Ryerson University, she had served as former President and Executive Director of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) Governors.
As a former Minister in Ontario, Dr Bountrogianni served in various administrative posts. She introduced and stewarded the passage of the AODA, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, from the inception of the idea to the moment it was submitted for royal consent. Through this legislation, she became a leader in accessibility issues worldwide.
Before going into politics, she was Chief psychologist of the Hamilton-Wentworth Board of Education. She has shared her scientific knowledge on accessibility and other issues with government organisations in her homeland and internationally, in countries such as New Zealand, Ukraine, Greece and Japan.
