DAISY Robot
Social Economy and Knowledge SocietyThe DAISY Robot system, initially developed in a university research lab, offers a comprehensive solution for the assessment, education, therapy, and support of children with Αutism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders. This system, stemming from cutting-edge academic research, is a valuable tool for both professionals and caregivers, helping them achieve their goals in the best possible way.
The system consists of the DAISY robot, which has the form of a plush flower, the ARRoW method (Assistive Relation Robotic Workfellow), the Margarita app for mobile control, and an online platform for educational activities and management.
On the first level, the DAISY robot acts as a friendly intermediary, fostering trust and emotional connection in children, as well as providing strong motivation to participate in educational activities. Simultaneously, it serves as a partner for professionals, supporting the smooth execution of activities and assisting with various roles as a third member in sessions.
Developed through rigorous research and testing, the DAISY system has been implemented across a wide range of children, professionals, and settings, demonstrating excellent results, such as significant contributions during the challenging sessions and developing social skills. Beneficiaries and users of the system include independent professionals, parents, and private and public institutions in education and healthcare.
