Eleni Papandreou

Eleni Papandreou was born in Athens on 17 April 1962. She holds a BA in Economics and an MA in Operational Research, both from the London School of Economics.
She is the Vice Chairperson at Intersys SA, one of the largest companies in Greece in Business Imaging & Professional Print and Consumer Electronics, founded by her father, Mr Nikolaos Papandreou, in the early 60s. It was the first Greek IT company and already counts five decades of participating in the technological advancements in the Greek market. Possibly one of the most resilient and efficient companies of the sector, to this day, it continues to implement innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology in corporate settings, making the most of its relationships of trust with prestigious companies with a global reach, throughout its growth path.
Ms Papandreou has served as elected Board Member at the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology & Communications Enterprises (SEPE) for four consecutive terms (2003-2011), while she also pushed for investments in technology as an appointed member of the Central Opinion Committee for the Development Law at the Ministry of Finance.
Recently she was appointed Chairperson of the Board at TECHNOPOLI-ACROPOLIS SA, an association of 130 businesses which holds the official licence for the creation, development and management of a Technological Park of the same name in Athens.
