George Vlachos

George Vlachos graduated from the School of Architecture, National Technical University of Athens, in March 1976.

He worked as an Architect until 1991, mainly involved in the design, supervision, construction and development of private projects (residential and commercial buildings). As of 1992 he started holding managerial positions in subsidiaries of the Lafarge Group in Greece, in the field of ready-mix concrete and aggregate quarries. He also served as CEO of Hellamat ABEME.

In 2001 he moved to the AGET Heracles Group of Companies, after its buyout by the Lafarge Group. He held the successive posts of General Manager of Organisational Development, General Manager of Human Resources and General Manager of Communication and Public Affairs.

As of 2010 he works with Greek and international companies in the areas of Business Development and Strategy & Implementation.

He has served as Vice President of the National Emergency Center (EKAV), General Secretary of the Association of Greek Manufacturers of Ready-Mix Concrete (SEVES) and a Board Member at the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art (MOMus).

He is a Board Member at the Hellenic Centre of Volunteer Managers (KEMEL), Aegean Perlites SA and BeyondCSR.
