Maria Leontiou

Maria is a graduate of the School of Civil Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, but the field of financial services soon won her over and she has been professionally active in it for the last 24 years. She has been working at Eurobank since 2002 and has gained experience in managerial posts in the areas of corporate innovation, project management, growth and operations. Before that, she was a broker in the Greek Stock Exchange. Due to her innate curiosity for anything new, she is passionate about and always seeks innovation. This has brought her close to the community of startups, which she supports as a mentor. She strongly believes in the power of networking and community, and considers her participation in the organising team for TEDxAthens and the Board of Ethelon two of her most rewarding experiences to date.
