Marios Nicolettis

A seasoned professional with more than 30 years of international experience across a number of countries in western as well as central and eastern Europe. His areas of expertise include buy and sell transactions and deal structuring, finance, risk, and operations transformation.

In his current role Marios focuses on identifying and nurturing high-potential startups in the MedTech area through his deep understanding of the tech landscape and firsthand experience of the current issues facing the healthcare industry. He is passionate for disruptive innovation, driving transformative change, providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies and building strong partnerships with investee entrepreneurs through his strong mentoring and business knowhow transfer skills.

Prior to founding Moondust Ventures, Marios was an investor and a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of Progress Medical a.s., an innovative healthcare provider in the Czech Republic, from where he successfully exited in 2020 through a sale to a NYSE listed buyer.

His previous roles included a COO role in PwC Greece, chief of staff for the Eurobank Group COO/CIO, CEE regional head of Eurobank Internal Audit, as well as finance roles at the Czech subsidiary of KBC Bank, PwC Prague and KPMG London and Madrid, where he managed assignments for the firms’ multinational clients.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics and Accounting from Southampton University in the UK and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA).

Marios has always been immersed in multicultural environments. He is fluent in Greek, English and Spanish, and is also able to communicate in Czech and Slovak.
